Are you like a fan of Italian food, too? Is the hardest part of your diet avoiding pasta dishes? Pasta is so filling and comforting, it makes us feel good. But also, it gives us a high and a crash because it’s a simple carbohydrate and our body digests it really fast, leaving us wanting more.
Also, carbs turn into sugars and out body converts that into fat. Not fun! Here is an easy pasta alternative weight loss recipe. Something that will make you happy, and you can have as much as you want without feeling guilty after!
All you need in your kitchen as far as hardware is a spiralizer. There are two types, one is more manual and the other is a bit easier to use but you still need manpower (burn the calories, right?)

Zucchini Pasta Weight Loss Recipe
Ingredients (for 2-3 servings)
4 zucchinis, spiralized
6 roma tomatoes or 2 cans of peeled whole tomatoes
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup of mushrooms, minced
½ cup of fresh basil
1 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of basil
2 tbsp of olive oil
½ lb of ground beef or turkey (optional)
Grated cheese (optional)
Incidentally, garlic is a potent health companion, packed with nutrients like vitamins and antioxidants.
In a pan, heat up 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add the spiralized zucchinis with salt and pepper to taste, and stir for one minute on medium to high. Put aside.
In another pan, mix the rest of the oil, the tomatoes, onion powder and minced garlic and stir on high. If you’re going to add meat, now is the time to do it. Add the meat and let cook on low for 7 minutes. Add the mushrooms and the basil and heat on medium for 5 minutes, or until you see the mushrooms soften, stirring occasionally.
Serve the “pasta” on a dish and pour the marinara on top. Sprinkle with some cheese (optional) and enjoy this delicious pasta alternative that will not be a road block on your weight loss journey!
